Board Member Cindy Pratte-Smith brings to her Meaningful Memories volunteer marketing and fundraising role twenty-five years of corporate director-level marketing experience serving in executive roles in a number of Fortune 500 companies.
In addition to decades of experience in the corporate and residential real estate sector, recently Cindy served an almost 8-year tenure with the University of Nevada, Reno heading up marketing and student recruitment efforts for the College of Science, School of the Arts and the College of Agriculture and Biotechnology. Cindy has also been a local business owner in Northern Nevada with high profile marketing consulting clients such as Scott Harvey Wines in St Helena, CA, Brink Custom Homes, and the luxury resort community Montreux in Reno, NV. In her corporate roles Cindy has led the marketing for NYSE traded Fortune 500 companies such as Toll Brothers, Lennar, and Centex/Pulte Homes. She has also been employed to market high-profile local developments such as Rancharrah, the reimagined Park Lane in Midtown, and Montreux Golf & Country Club.
Cindy holds a both an MBA from the University of Nevada, Reno and undergraduate degrees in Journalism and Spanish from Butler University in Indiana. Cindy also has a Masters in Residential Marketing from the National Association of Home Builders and has held a years-long seat on the Board of the Builders Association of Northern Nevada while heading up the association’s Sales and Marketing Council.
Cindy is passionate about community service and has worked throughout her career to assist organizations such as the Builders Association Charity, Nevada Food Bank, the Ronald McDonald House and the Northern Nevada Humane Society. She is now honored and energized to put her marketing and business experience to work supporting the mission of the Meaningful Memories Foundation.
Katie was born in Reno, NV in 1972 and has spent almost all of her life here. She is a retired financial planner after 25 years in the business and is currently the owner of Party America in Reno. Her two older children are co-owners of Party America and together they all operate one of the only party supply stores in Reno.
Katie has a large family in Reno which includes her four children, ages 26, 24, 19, and 7. She loves spending time with family and friends engaged in lots of outdoor activities and traveling.
She is currently a member of the State Board of Education, and is also one of the founding members of the non-profit Meaningful Memories Foundation which provides parties for less fortunate kids in Northern Nevada.
Robin is an entrepreneur, renowned speaker, leadership consultant, and Founder of Embrace the Path. She has owned and operated multiple businesses in Northern Nevada throughout her career. She is an accomplished motivator with a solid reputation for providing vision, business development, creating company cohesion, and fostering an energetic business environment primed for growth. She has been a featured speaker at many national conferences, including speaking at TEDx twice. She is the proud mom of three outstanding adult children and is happily married to her husband, Jerry.
